About me . . .
I am a poet who teaches English and Creative Writing at the University of Bridgeport. I graduated with a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College, and I earned my M.F.A. from the University of Arkansas. I live now in Hamden, Connecticut with my husband Eric D. Lehman and our two cats, Maple and Django.
My latest collection Mouthbrooders will be released June 10, 2019 and is currently available at Homebound Publications.
I am the author of six poetry collections including three chapbooks, Potato Eaters (Finishing Line Press, 2008), Nomad’s End (Finishing Line Press, 2010) and Lune de Miel (Finishing Line Press, 2012). Finalist for the 2014 Poetry Prize, Four Blue Eggs was published by Homebound Publications in 2014. A second edition was released in 2017. Reconnaissance was released in 2015 (second edition 2017). Both are available from independent bookstores like Byrd’s Books in Bethel, CT on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and as Kindle/Ebook. My memoir The Comet’s Tail: A Memoir of No Memory was awarded the 2018 Mind Body Spirit Award by Living Now Book Awards and is a finalist for the Foreword INDIE awards. In addition to poetry, I co-authored three Connecticut history books. See the tabbed pages above for more information.
Keep up to date with upcoming readings and presentations with the Publicity and Reviews Tab. I’m available for lectures and readings in Connecticut and New England.
